active-learning problem-solving … project-based learning
STEAM is an educational approach to learning that uses Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts and Mathematics as access points for guiding student inquiry, dialogue, and critical thinking.
Our STEAM camp has been designed with an emphasis on fun and creativity, delivered by both tech experts and primary school teachers.
Students from primary school (second class upwards) can take part in the STEAM camps, which blend code with fun games, challenges, puzzles and serious learning.
Here are some of the activities students will participate in:
How to wire and test a 3 pin plug - screwdrivers at the ready!
3D game design - students will design a 3D game and play each other’s games.
Robotics: Students will code and race robots, learning how to change speed, light up and control remotely.
Circuits: using batteries, LEDs, propellers, switches and more we will create circuits and understand how circuits work
microbits: using microbits - mini programmable computers, to solve coding challenges
